STATESBORO, Ga. -- Tookie Brown scored 15 points to help Georgia Southern beat Bob Jones 104-52 on Monday night in the Palmetto State Shootout.
Georgia Southern led 17-2 before Tre Tipton made Bob Jones' first field goal at the 12:43 mark. Ray Holden made the Bruins' second basket four-plus minutes later as Georgia Southern had built its lead to 29-6.
Bob Jones made just 6 of 28 shots in the first half (21.4 percent), including 1 of 14 from 3-point range, and turned it over 13 times.
The Eagles led by as many as 55 with 3:37 remaining in the second half.
