Derksen powers San Francisco past Portland 107-95
SAN FRANCISCO -- Tim Derksen had 22 of his career-high 27 points in the second half and San Francisco rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit to beat Portland 107-95 on Thursday night.
Devin Watson added 22 points and seven assists for the Dons (8-5, 2-1 West Coast Conference), who conceded 62 first-half points and trailed 81-66 with 12:59 to play.
Derksen scored 15 over the next 6:12, including the 3-point play that capped San Francisco's 26-8 run to take the lead at 92-89.
Portland (8-8, 2-1) trailed 98-95 with 3:23 to go but missed its last eight 3-point attempts, five of which had a chance to tie. San Francisco scored the final nine points.
Ronnie Boyce III had 15 points, Nate Renfro scored 13 and Dont'e Reynolds 12 for the Dons.
Alec Wintering had 23 of his 31 points in the first half for Portland. Jazz Johnson scored a career-high 22.
