FORT WORTH, Texas -- Karviar Shepherd had 15 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, with 10 on the offensive end, and TCU beat Delaware State 75-47 on Monday night to hand the Hornets a 13th straight loss.
TCU, which has won four straight, led by just six points at halftime but went on a 20-3 run, with scoring from six different players, to open the second half. Brandon Parrish and Vladimir Brodziansky combined for three consecutive 3-pointers during a 12-0 run for a 33-point lead with 7:28 left.
Malique Trent and Chauncey Collins added 12 points apiece for TCU (8-4). Chris Washburn saw his first action of the season after missing 11 games with a broken right pinky finger and scored five points on 1-of-10 shooting. Brandon Parrish chipped in 10 points.
Shepherd set a career-best with his 17th rebound at the 10:36 mark, helping TCU build a 51-30 lead. The Frogs held a 45-30 advantage on the glass and forced 17 turnovers.
Dana Raysor led Delaware State (0-13) with 17 points and freshman Devin Morgan Jr. had 11 to finish in double figures for the fourth straight game. The duo combined to make seven of Delaware State's 10 3-pointers, but the Hornets were just 15-of-48 shooting (31 percent) overall.
Delaware State trailed just 22-20 with 7:54 left in the first half, but went scoreless the rest of the way. Raysor made the Hornets' only field goal in the opening eight minutes of the second half.
