RICHMOND, Va. -- Melvin Johnson scored 15 points, JeQuan Lewis added 14, and VCU rolled to an 85-57 victory over Liberty on Sunday.

The Rams made their first six shots, including two 3-pointers by Johnson, and used a 14-3 run to end the half, including eight straight points by Jordan Burgess, to lead by 29, 45-16, at the break.

The Rams' second-half lead fluctuated between 23 and 37 points.

Burgess finished with 11 points while Justin Tillman led a 37-23 rebounding advantage with 11 boards.

Johnson made 4 of 5 3-point attempts and is shooting 46 percent on 98 attempts from behind the arc this season. The Rams made 32 of 60 shots for 53 percent, including 10 of 19 from 3-point range.

Ryan Kemrite scored 17 points and John Dawson 14 for the Flames (3-11). Liberty, with 11 underclassmen on its 12-man roster, has lost 10 straight.
