NJIT beats Kennesaw State 75-67 for sixth road win
KENNESAW, Ga. -- Damon Lynn scored 22 points and NJIT beat Kennesaw State 75-67 on Saturday.
The victory gave the Highlanders (12-11, 3-4 Atlantic Sun) a 6-6 away record, tying the program record for road victories.
Lynn had three 3-pointers and made 11 of 13 free throws with NJIT 23 of 29 from the line to the Owls' 8 of 16. Rob Ukawuba added 17 points and Tim Coleman and Chris Jenkins 12 apiece with Jenkins sinking four treys. The Highlanders made 10 of 29 3-point tries and collected 11 steals.
Yonel Brown scored 19 points and Kendrick Ray 15 for the Owls (6-17, 3-4), who have lost five of their last six.
The Highlanders led by 19 midway through the first half but the Owls tied it with 14 minutes left in the game. The Highlanders went on a 14-5 run and the Owls didn't get closer than six.
