New Hampshire beats D-III Lyndon State 82-45
DURHAM, N.H. -- Tanner Leissner had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Iba Camara added 15 points and 20 rebounds, and New Hampshire beat Division-III Lyndon State 82-45 on Friday night.
Jaleen Smith had 11 points and 10 assists, Pat McNamara scored 10 and Ronnel Jordan grabbed 10 rebounds for the Wildcats, who finished with 63 rebounds in the season opener for both teams.
Lyndon State had 11 of its 31 rebounds on the offensive end but shot only 16 of 73 from the field, including 6 of 34 from 3-point range.
The Wildcats pulled away early with a 28-4 run and never trailed on their way to a 51-23 halftime lead. They opened the second half with an 11-4 run and had their largest lead at 69-31 on a pair of Leissner's free throws with 9:30 left.
Avery King led the Hornets with 7 points.
