GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Khy Kabellis scored 12 of his 18 points in the final 6:06 to rally North Dakota State past North Dakota 69-67 on Friday night.
Kabellis' run started with a 3-pointer that pulled the Bison within 56-53. The freshman then tied it at 58 with another 3 and gave NDSU (6-3) the lead on the next possession with a driving runner off the glass. He pushed the lead to 65-59 with 1:04 left on his third 3-pointer during that stretch.
Geno Crandall failed to convert a 3-point play that would have pulled the Fighting Hawks (4-5) within two with 17.5 seconds.
