Fresno State tops Pacific 71-52
FRESNO, Calif. -- Paul Watson scored 15 points, Karachi Edo had 14 along with 10 rebounds, and Fresno State finished with a season-high 18 assists in a 71-52 win over Pacific on Saturday night.
A layup from Torren Jones broke a 10-all tie midway through the first half, and Fresno State (7-3) cruised from there, heading to halftime with a 12-point lead and winning the second half 37-30.
Watson was 4 of 8 from the field and 2 of 3 on 3-pointers. He and Edo were two of six Bulldogs to score at least eight points in a balanced scoring attack.
Pacific (1-7) shot just 33 percent from the field and committed 20 turnovers. T.J. Wallace led the Tigers with 13 points and Ilias Theodorou had 10 points and six rebounds.
