Colorado knocks New Mexico out of 2nd place in MW, 86-67
FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Emmanuel Omogbo, Antwan Scott and John Gillon each scored 18 points and Colorado State knocked New Mexico out of a tie for second-place with Fresno State in the Mountain West with an 86-69 victory Tuesday night.
Sam Logwood's jumper midway through the first half gave the Lobos a 21-15 lead, but the Rams roared back and took a six-point lead into intermission and Scott drilled a 3-pointer to open the second that quickly pushed the lead to 40-31 and another a minute later that made it 43-31
Omogbo was 7 of 10 from the field and grabbed 13 rebounds -- eight off the offensive glass -- to help pace Colorado State (15-13, 7-8). Scott knocked down four 3-pointers and had five assists and Gillon came off the bench to hit three 3s with four assists.
Tim Williams had 17 points and Elijah Brown added 16 to lead New Mexico (16-12, 9-6).
