Air Force withstands Brown, New Mexico in 76-72 win
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Jacob Van scored 22 points and Hayden Graham added 21 and 11 rebounds to lead Air Force to a 76-72 win on Saturday.
Van, Graham and teammate Zach Kocur combined to shoot 20 for 37 from the field and grabbed 24 of 39 rebounds for the Falcons.
Anthony Mathis' 3 gave New Mexico a 53-44 lead with 11:30 left, but an 8-0 run closed the Lobos' lead to a point three minutes later.
Graham went on his own run with a layup, a 3 and a dunk to give Air Force (14-14, 5-10) the lead for good at 68-66 with 3:43 to play.
Elijah Brown led New Mexico scoring 32 points, one off his career-high 33 which he's hit twice. Brown shot 10 for 20 from the field and was 7 for 17 behind the arc.
Tim Williams added 17 points and 13 boards for New Mexico (16-11, 9-5).
