Colbert scores 24 in Montana State's 81-63 victory
BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Marcus Colbert scored 24 points and Montana State defeated Northern Colorado 81-63 on Thursday night.
Tyler Hall added 21 points and Quinton Everett 11 for the Bobcats (13-16, 8-9 Big Sky), who snapped a two-game losing streak and avenged a Jan. 16 loss at Northern Colorado.
Jordan Davis scored 14 points, Miles Seward 12 and Anthony Johnson 11 for the Bears (9-20, 6-11), who have lost seven of their last eight games.
Hall scored 15 points and Colbert 10 in the first half when Montana State took a 42-28 lead. The Bears never got within single digits in the second half with the Bobcats taking their largest lead of 23 points, 59-36, after a 3-pointer by Colbert and two free throws from Sam Neumann.
Montana State aided its cause by making 22 out of 24 free throws.
