Mercer Bears vs Pacific Tigers
Pacific holds on for 55-48 victory over Mercer
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Dulani Robinson made seven of his nine points in the final 2:02 to assure Pacific a 55-48 victory over Mercer on Saturday night to take third place at the Great Alaska Shootout.
Trailing 26-19 at the half, Mercer scored the first seven points in the second period to tie the game. Pacific retook the lead and held off the Bears, who kept challenging and trailed only 46-44 with 2:22 remaining. Robinson hit a jumper and nailed a 3-point jump shot for a 51-46 lead with 53 seconds remaining
Mercer split consecutive overtime games, beating Rice 77-71 Thursday and losing to UC Santa Barbara 65-60 on Friday.
T.J. Wallace had 11 points and Jacob Lampkin added nine for Pacific (4-3). Ike Nwamu led Mercer (3-4) with 14 points and T.J. Hallice chipped in 11.
