Niagara beats Canisius, 82-71
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Dominique Reid tied a career-high with 20 points and added eight rebounds to help Niagara to an 82-71 victory over Canisius on Tuesday night.
Emile Blackman had 18 points and six assists and Ramone Snowden added 15 points for the Purple Eagles (7-21, 6-13 Metro-Atlantic Athletic Conference). The win gave Niagara its first three-game win streak of the season and snapped a four-game skid to the Griffins.
The Purple Eagles shot 60 percent from the field, its best performance of the season and just the second time they've topped 50 percent this year.
Canisius (15-13, 10-9) led 35-31 at the break, but a 14-2 Purple Eagles' run to open the second half gave them a lead which they held the rest of the night.
Jeremiah Williams led the Griffins with 18 points.
