TCU Horned Frogs vs Bradley Braves
Anderson helps TCU turn back Bradley 57-49
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Kyan Anderson overcame a poor-shooting night by hitting four free throws in the closing seconds Saturday night and Texas Christian held on to beat Bradley 57-49 at the Corpus Christi Coast Classic.
Anderson made just 1 of his 10 shots but went 8 of 8 from the foul line for the Horned Frogs (6-0), who made 25 of 33 free throws.
Auston Barnes had 19 points for Bradley (2-3).
TCU used baskets by Hudson Price and Anderson to open the second half to build a 35-24 lead but Josh Cunningham scored twice for Bradley to get it back to single digits, 35-28 with 15:42 to play.
The game stayed close the rest of the way. Warren Jones knocked down a 3-poitner midway through the second half, giving Bradley a 42-41 lead. TCU broke away from a 44-44 tie with seven-straight points, capped by a 3 from Kenrich Williams.
The first half was a parade to the foul line. TCU made 12 of 17 free throws to 12 of 21 for Bradley. Bradley made just 27.8 percent from the field, going 5 of 18, while TCU was 9 of 22.
TCU got the lead to double figures, 26-16 on an Amric Fields jumper at 3:47 and pushed it to 13 but a Barnes 3 just before the buzzer made it 31-24 at the break.
In the second half Bradley was perfect on its three free throws while TCU was 13 of 16.
Warren Jones added 10 points for Bradley, which had a 32-27 rebounding advantage, led by Josh Cunningham's 12.
Williams also had 10 points for TCU, which was just 2 of 16 from behind the arc.

TCU: The Frogs are off to their best start since going 9-0 to begin the 1997-98 campaign, which also happens to be the last time TCU made the NCAA Tournament. ... Bradley: This was the Braves' first road game of the season. The Braves have now lost five straight road games and are winless in their last 11 games played at a neutral site. ...
