PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- Tre Hagood scored 17 points with seven rebounds and eight assists to help Prairie View handle Arkansas-Pine Bluff 79-58 on Monday night.
Prairie View (11-16, 9-5 Southwestern) shot 52 percent from the field and 7 of 13 on 3-point attempts. John Brisco had 14 points, Karim York and Reggis Onwukamuche added 11 points apiece and Montrael Scott chipped in with 10 points.
It was tied at 18 midway through the first half, then Prairie View A&M went on an 11-point run -- capped by a 3-pointer from Jacoby Green -- and the Panthers led 42-28 at the break.
Prairie View's lead hit 20 on a pair of free throws by York early in the second half and UAPB never got closer than 19 down the stretch.
Jovaughn Love led Arkansas-Pine Bluff (9-20, 6-9 Southwestern) with 22 points.
