Arkansas-Pine Bluff beats Grambling State 66-57
PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- JoVaughn Love scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds as the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff beat Grambling State 66-57 on Saturday night.
Tevin Hammond added 14 points and four rebounds for the Golden Lions (10-20, 7-9 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Marcel Mosley had 10 points and five assists. The team finished shooting 48 percent from the field and 55.6 percent from the line.
Grambling State hit 41.3 percent from the field overall and 66.7 percent from the line and outrebounded the Golden Lions 35-27.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff led 28-21 at the break and continued to keep Grambling State at a distance through the second half for the win.
A'Torri Shine scored 21 points with seven rebounds and Mark Gray added 17 points and six boards for the Tigers (2-23, 0-15) who remain winless in the SWAC.
