Wright St. powers past Ohio Dominican 76-64
FAIRBORN, Ohio -- Chrishawn Hopkins scored 25 points, Reggie Arceneaux added 18 and Joe Thomasson 15 as Wright State rallied in the final minutes to fend off upset-minded Division II Ohio Dominican 76-64 on Sunday.
Ohio Dominican, playing its third game in 42 hours, tied at 58 on a Trent Weaver free throw late, but Arceneaux nailed a 3 on the other end to give the Raiders a 61-58 lead they wouldn't relinquish in the final six minutes.
Arceneaux, Hopkins and Thomasson scored 15 of the Raiders last 16 points down the stretch.
Mark Minch scored 21 for the Panthers, who opened the season at 11 p.m. Friday, played at 6 p.m. Saturday before Sunday's evening game.
Weaver finished with 11 points, scoring in double figures in all three games, as Ohio Dominican was looking for its first win against a Division I opponent since beating Southern Illinois 64-63 on Nov. 11, 2011.
