Green Bay dismisses Wright State 79-55
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Keifer Sykes scored 28 points and Green Bay dismissed poor-shooting Wright State 79-55 on Monday.
Jordan Fouse added 16 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists while Greg Mays chipped in with 10 points.
JT Yoho led Wright State with 13 points, despite shooting 2 of 9 from the floor, as he made 8 of 10 free throws. Kendall Griffin added 12 points for the Raiders (9-7, 1-1 Horizon).
Green Bay (12-3, 1-0) trailed early, but Wright State went cold, going 6:54 with just one basket as the Phoenix built a small lead. Green Bay then closed the half on a 9-2 run to lead 34-27 at the break.
The Phoenix used runs of 19-10 and 7-0 at the start of the second half to take control of the game as Wright State managed just five field goals in the second half and shot 32 percent (15 of 47) for the game.
