NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Taylor Barnette scored 21 points with three assists and four steals as Belmont extended its OVC winning streak to five by beating Tennessee Tech 71-53 on Saturday.

Barnette finished shooting 7 of 13 from the field, including 5 of 9 from 3-point territory for the Bruins (15-7, 7-2 Ohio Valley Conference). Evan Bradds added 18 points and five rebounds and Craig Bradshaw had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals. The team hit 50 percent from the field overall -- including 11 of 26 (42.3 percent) from distance -- and 85.7 percent from the free throw line.

Belmont led 37-30 at the break and continued to dominate in the second half for the win.

Javon McKay led the Golden Eagles (10-13, 2-8) with 16 points and six rebounds. Torrance Rowe added 13.
