Albany powers past Binghamton 73-58
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Peter Hooley scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Albany to a 73-58 win over Binghamton on Wednesday night.
Sam Rowley added 14 points on 6-for-12 shooting and his brother, Mike Rowley, finished with 13 points and eight rebounds to help Albany (9-7, 4-0 America East) extend its win streak to four. Ray Sanders had 11 points.
Both teams shot comparably from the floor, but Albany controlled the boards 35-28 and held a nearly 2-to-1 advantage in made free throws, 17-9.
The Great Danes broke away early in the first half with a 15-2 run capped with a 3-pointer from Mike Rowley to build a lead that was never challenged to give coach Will Brown his 200th career win at Albany.
Marlon Beck II led Binghamton (2-17, 1-3) with 20 points and Bobby Ahearn added 12 in the loss.
