Hawkins leads UC Davis past Utah Valley 64-43
DAVIS, Calif. -- Corey Hawkins hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 points to lead UC Davis over Utah Valley 64-43 on Saturday night.
UC Davis jumped out on a 20-3 run and never trailed. Hawkins was 7 of 12 from the field and had three assists and three steals.
Josh Fox scored 12 points and J.T. Adenrele added 11 points for the Aggies (5-0), who shot 27 of 52 for 51.9 percent from the field.
Marcel Davis hit a 3-pointer to pull Utah Valley within 13 points, 35-22, with 17:45 to play, but the Wolverines would not get closer.
No Utah Valley (3-2) players reached double figures. Davis scored seven points to lead the Wolverines (3-2), who shot just 29.4 percent on 15-of-51 shooting overall. Mitch Bruneel dished out five assists for Utah Valley.
