SE Louisiana turns tables on Tennessee Tech 86-65
HAMMOND, La. -- Joshua Filmore scored 27 points and Zay Jackson 25, both career highs, as the Southeastern Louisiana scored 52 points in the second half to take an 86-65 victory over Tennessee Tech on Wednesday night in the teams' second meeting in three days.
The Lions (1-4) picked up their first win after losing to the Golden Eagles 81-62 on the road Monday.
Filmore made seven 3-pointers. Devonte Upson added 14 points and 10 rebounds, his third double-double in five games. The Lions shot 51.8 percent, including 11 of 26 3-pointers. They made 17 of 22 foul shots.
Charles Jackson turned in his fifth double-double in as many games, scoring 17 points for Tennessee Tech (3-2) and taking in 11 rebounds. Torrance Rowe added 13 points.
The Lions trailed 48-34 before outscoring the Golden Eagles 52-17 in the second half.
It wsa the first NCAA victory for Southeastern Louisiana head coach Jay Ladner.
