Hagins, Woods leads UALR past Troy, 73-65
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Josh Hagins scored 22, and Roger Woods added a career-high tying 19 and 10 rebounds to help Arkansas-Little Rock overcome a nine-point halftime deficit and beat Troy 73-65 on Thursday night.
Hagins made 8 of 12 field goals, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, and had eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Woods, a junior college transfer, recorded his second-career double-double.
UALR (7-11, 2-6 Sun Belt) trailed 34-25 at halftime, but Hagins and Ben Dillard hit two 3-pointers each, and scored eight apiece, during a 20-2 run to open the second half.
Wesley Person Jr. converted a three-point play with 6:16 left, pulling Troy (7-10, 2-6) within two, but UALR scored the next 10 and led 65-53 less than 4 minutes later and cruised from there.
Chris Bilbo led Troy, which made just 10 of 21 free throws, with 15 points. John Walton III added 11 and 12 rebounds.
