Arkansas-Little Rock beats UMKC 73-68
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- James White scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had four blocks to lead the University of Arkansas-Little Rock to a 73-68 win over the University of Missouri-Kansas City at the EA Sports Maui Invitational on Saturday.
Josh Hagins added 11 points for the Trojans (2-1). James Reid chipped in with nine points and four rebounds. The team hit 51 percent from the field overall, 73 percent from the line and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
UMKC led 34-30 at the break but lost the momentum to the Trojans in the second period. They finished shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 45 percent from the line.
Scoring leaders for the Kangaroos (2-2) were Martez Harrison and Frank Williams, Jr. with 15 points apiece. Shayok Shayok led the team with 11 rebounds.
