Nevada cold from line, helps Air Force beat Wolf Pack 75-70
COLORADO SPRING, Colo. -- Marek Olesinski and Zach Kocur scored 18 points apiece to lead Air Force to a 75-70 victory over Nevada on Wednesday night.
Air Force took the lead for good at the 14:17 mark, and stretched it to 12 points with 1:44 left. Michael Perez made a 3 and Eric Cooper Jr. hit a jumper to pull Nevada within 69-62. But the Wolf Pack then let 30 seconds tick away before intentionally fouling Olesinski, who made both free throws to make it 71-62 with :51 left.
Hayden Graham matched a career-high with four assists and added 12 points and 10 rebounds for Air Force (13-14, 6-10 Mountain West).
Nevada (8-19, 4-11) outrebounded Air Force 35-29, but missed 18 free throws (14 of 32). Cooper scored 20 points, and AJ West had 11 points with 16 rebounds for the Wolf Pack.
