New Mexico beats Valparaiso 63-46
VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Deshawn Delaney scored 17 points and three others scored in double figures to lead New Mexico to a 63-46 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday night.
Tim Jacobs scored to give New Mexico a 51-41 lead with 7:47 left, and the Lobos led by double digits the rest of the way.
Delaney was 6 of 8 from the floor and 5 of 9 from the line, and grabbed six rebounds.
Hugh Greenwood had 10 points and four assists. Devon Williams added 10 points with six boards, and Obij Aget chipped in 10 points. Sam Logwood also had six boards for New Mexico (5-3).
Alec Peters scored nine points for Valparaiso (8-2), which shot just 16 of 53 from the floor for 30.2 percent. Keith Carter added seven points with four assists for the Crusaders, who snapped a seven-game winning streak.
