Old Dominion dominates Louisiana Tech, 72-53
NORFOLK, Va. -- Trey Freeman scored 27 points on 9 of 15 shooting and added seven rebounds to help lead Old Dominion to a 72-53 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Aaron Bacote scored 10 points and Jonathan Arledge and Jordan Baker added eight points apiece for Old Dominion (20-6, 9-5 Conference USA), which has won five of seven and 19 in a row at home dating back to last season.
The Monarchs held Louisiana Tech (21-7, 12-3) to just 31.6 percent shooting, and the 53 points scored was the Bulldogs' lowest total of the year. Old Dominion ranks 15th nationally in scoring defense (57.3 points per game).
