Hill's double-double sparks UTSA over FIU 74-63
MIAMI -- Jeromie Hill scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and UTSA rallied from 10 points down in the second half to beat Florida International 74-63 on Thursday night.
Hill shot just 5 of 16 from the floor, but hit 4 of 8 from long range. Keon Lewis had 23 points, Kaj-Bjorn Sherman scored 14 and Ryan Bowie chipped in 13 for UTSA (11-10, 5-5 Conference USA).
FIU led 43-33 with 14:28 to play before UTSA used a 22-6 run to take a 55-49 lead. Kris Gulley hit a 3 to pull the Panthers within 59-54 with 6:52 remaining, but a 10-4 surge pushed the Roadrunners lead to 69-58 with 3:08 left.
Adrian Diaz had 22 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high eight blocks to lead FIU (11-11, 4-5). Dennis Mavin scored 15 points and Daviyon Draper added eight with nine boards for the Golden Panthers.
