Price helps Western Kentucky avoid upset vs. FAU 88-85 in OT
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- T.J. Price scored 27 points and Western Kentucky rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half and beat Florida Atlantic 88-85 in overtime on Thursday night.
The victory gave the Hilltoppers (11-5, 4-0) six consecutive wins while handing the Owls (7-8, 0-4) their fourth straight loss.
George Fant added 23 points and 10 rebounds, his sixth straight double-double. Chris Harrison-Docks had 12 points, six in overtime as did Price, who went over 1,500 career points.
The Owls led 52-39 with 11:54 left. WKU went on a 14-4 run to lead 70-67 with 53 seconds left in regulation. A jumper by FAU's Marquan Botley tied the game at 71-all and sent it into overtime.
Two Price free throws put WKU ahead 87-82 with 17 seconds left in overtime, and Botley missed a 3-pointer with four seconds left.
Botley scored 22 points, Solomon Poole added 21 and Jackson Trapp 20.
