Kuakumensah leads Brown over Bryant 69-62
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Cedric Kuakumensah had 20 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks to lead Brown to a 69-62 victory over Bryant on Saturday night.
Brown led by as many as 15 points in the second half. Shane McLaughlin scored on a three-point play to pull Bryant within 64-57 with 45 seconds left. Brown answered with 5-of-6 shooting from the line to seal it.
Kuakumensah shot 7 of 13 from the floor. Steven Spieth scored 12 points, Tavon Blackmon and Leland King each had 11 for Brown (4-6).
Bryant led 28-25 with 4:31 left in the first half before Brown closed on a 16-2 run to take a 41-30 halftime lead, and the Bears led the rest of the way.
Dyami Starks scored 16 points, Gus Riley and Hunter Ware each chipped in 11 to lead Bryant (1-5).
