St. Bonaventure tops Dartmouth 77-57
SAINT BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -- Andell Cumberbatch had 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead St. Bonaventure to a 77-57 win over Dartmouth to open the season on Saturday evening.
Dion Wright finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, and Marcus Posley and Jaylen Adams contributed 16 points apiece for St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies were outrebounded 41-39, but had 12 steals.
Kevin Crescenzi and Alex Mitola each tallied 10 points for Dartmouth, and Connor Boehm added seven points and 11 rebounds.
St. Bonaventure was up 18-9 midway through the first half when Dartmouth went on an 18-10 run capped by a 3-pointer from Taylor Johnson to bring them within one (28-27) at halftime. St. Bonaventure began the second half with a 21-6 run, including 12 points from Adams.
