Worsham scores 15 as Jackson State wallops Grambling 72-33
JACKSON, Miss. -- Raeford Worsham scored 15 points and corralled 11 rebounds, leading three players in double-figure scoring as Jackson State clobbered Grambling 72-33 on Saturday night.
Jackson State (9-18, 7-7 Southwestern Athletic Conference) never trailed and owned every scoring category to keep Grambling (2-22, 0-14) winless in conference. Jackson State outscored Grambling 42-12 for points in the paint, 23-8 off turnovers, 13-6 on second-chance baskets, 12-2 on the fast break and 34-5 in bench points.
Jackson State outrebounded Grambling 39-27 and notched 17 assists.
Worsham also had six assists. Kaven Bernard tossed in 14 points and Dontaveon Robinson 11.
Mark Gray and A'Torri shine scored 12 points each for Grambling with Gray adding 10 rebounds.
Grambling has lost its last 17 games, dating back to December 15. It's last win was against Selma Dec. 6.
