Radford shoots past Presbyterian, 95-82

RADFORD, Va. -- Javonte Green scored 24 points, including 12 of 19 at the free throw line, and pulled down a team high nine rebounds to lead Radford to a 95-82 victory over Presbyterian on Saturday evening.

Ya Ya Anderson and R.J. Price each finished with 17 points for the Highlanders (10-7, 1/3 Big South), and Jalen Carethers added 13 points off the bench.

Radford was electric offensively, shooting 56.1 percent from the field, hit 11 3-pointers (50 percent overall), and got to the free throw line 33 times. They also totaled 20 assists as a team and limited themselves to eight turnovers.

The Highlanders led 45-38 at halftime, and put together a 15-6 run to put the Blue Hose away midway through the second half.

Jordan Downing scored 28 points to lead Presbyterian (5-12, 1/3 Big South). DeSean Murray added 18 points and seven rebounds.
