Princeton cruises past Liberty 65-47
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Steven Cook scored 16 and Spencer Weisz had 13 as Princeton beat Liberty 65-47 on Monday night.
Cook was 4 of 7 from the field and made all six of his free throws for Princeton (5-8). Weisz was 3 of 11 from the field, all on 3-pointers, as the Tigers made 10 of their 32 attempts from long range.
Theo Johnson and David Andoh had 10 points apiece for Liberty (5-7). The Flames made just 15 of 40 field goals (37.5 percent) and turned the ball over 21 times.
Princeton led 31-27 at halftime. Weisz's 3-pointer with 11:40 left started Princeton's 9-0 run for a 53-40 lead.
Liberty went without a field goal for 7-plus minutes midway through the second half. Jordan Dembley's 3-pointer with 14 seconds left were the first points for the Flames since the 5:55 mark.
