Late alley-oop lifts James Madison over Campbell
HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Andre Nation scored 15, Ron Curry added 13 points and six assists and the two hooked up on a last-second alley-oop to lift James Madison over Campbell 63-61 in the Buckeye Classic on Tuesday night.
Jackson Kent finished with 11 points while Winston Grays and Yohanny Dalembert scored 10 apiece for James Madison (5-2). Dalembert added 10 rebounds.
A layup by Grays gave James Madison a 59-51 lead with fewer than 5 minutes to play, but Campbell scored eight-straight, tying it on a Curtis Phillips jumper with 1:36 remaining.
Nation hit a pair of free throws before Kyre' Hamer made a layup to make it 61-all with 52 seconds left.
Campbell got a stop, but an offensive foul gave James Madison the ball and Curry found Nation for an alley-oop dunk with 3 seconds to go.
Hamer missed a long 3 at the buzzer.
