Presbyterian dominates Toccoa Falls 63-40
CLINTON, S.C. -- Jordan Downing nailed 4 of 8 from beyond the arc for 23 points to lead Presbyterian to a dominating 63-40 win over Toccoa Falls on Tuesday night.
Ruben Arroyo-Felix added 14 points for Presbyterian (2-4).
The Blue Hose trailed early and held only a 16-11 lead midway through the first half before they went on a 22-2 run and held a commanding 38-15 advantage at the break. They were ahead 60-28 with 8:23 remaining in the game.
Presbyterian made 24 of 69 field goal attempts (34.8%) while limiting the Eagles to 14 of 55 (25.5%). The Blue Hose won the rebound battle, 51 to 39, as Ed Drew grabbed 12 boards and William Truss pulled down 11. Presbyterian had 18 assists on its 24 baskets.
Connor Iverson, 10 points, was the only Eagle to get into double figures.
