SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Lee Skinner posted a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 11 boards, leading Wofford to a 62-43 win over Western Carolina on Saturday night.
Spencer Collins added 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists for the Terriers (14-5, 5-1 Southern Conference). Karl Cochran had nine points and Justin Gordon had seven. The team sank 43.1 percent from the field overall and 61.5 percent from the line.
Three jump shots by Skinner helped Wofford climb to a 12-4 lead midway through the first half. A pair of 3s by Western Carolina's James Sinclair and Mike Brown later in the period helped the Catamounts (8-11, 3-4) keep pace but the Terriers led 24-17 at the break.
The Terriers kicked off the second half with a 12-5 run and maintained a double-digit lead throughout the rest of the game.
James Sinclair led the Catamounts with 16 points and three assists.
