CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Freshman Devin Sibley scored a season-best 25 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to lead Furman to a 74-62 victory over The Citadel on Saturday afternoon.
Kendrec Ferrara finished with 12 points off the bench, Kris Acox had 10 points and tied a career-high with 13 rebounds, and Stephen Croone added 11 points and five assists for Furman (5-12, 3-4 Southern Conference).
The Paladins shot an efficient 51.9 percent from the field and 7 of 17 from 3-point range. They also controlled the glass, winning the rebounding battle 34-25.
The Citadel (8-10, 3-4) led 30-27 at the half, but a 9-1 run by Furman early in the second period put them in front and a 20-9 stretch midway through extending its lead to double digits.
Ashton Moore led the Bulldogs with 16 points. Quinton Marshall added 13.
