North Florida cruises to 86-71 win over Stetson
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Dallas Moore scored 21 points on 9-for-14 shooting Saturday night as North Florida clinched the Atlantic Sun regular-season championship with an 86-71 win over Stetson.
Jalen Nesbitt contributed 14 points, Chris Davenport added 12 while pulling down nine rebounds, Trent Mackey had 11 points and Beau Beech had 10 for North Florida (20-11, 12-2), which shot 51.6 percent to close out the regular season with five straight wins.
North Florida took the lead for good late in the first half with Mackey's 3-pointer, which made it 30-27, and carried a 42-33 advantage into the break. The Ospreys continued to pull away in the second half.
Angel Rivera led Stetson (9-21, 3-11) with 22 points, Kentwan Smith added 15 and Divine Myles 14.
The Ospreys will have home court advantage in the Atlantic Sun quarterfinal for the first time in program history.
