Williams leads Lipscomb past D-III Rhodes, 90-53
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Josh Williams scored 16 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead Lipscomb to a 90-53 win over Division-III Rhodes on Monday night.
Aaron Korn added 12 points, Talbott Denny scored 11 and Chad Lang 10 for Lipscomb (6-9), which made a season-high 30 of 44 (68.2 percent) field goals, including 9 of 17 from 3-point range, and never trailed.
Lipscomb scored the first eight points of the game and led 12-2 after 5 minutes. The Bisons took a 44-28 lead into halftime and led by as many as 38 in the second half.
Brennan Sullivan scored 12 and Ryan Van Hoeck added 11 for Rhodes, which shot 32.7 percent (17 of 52) overall and 18.2 percent from behind the arc.
Twelve of the 13 players who saw time scored for the Bisons.
