NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Nathan Moran had 16 points, five rebounds and four assists to lead Lipscomb to a 74-63 win over Division II opponent Transylvania on Saturday.

Josh Williams had 15 points and eight rebounds and Brett Wishon added 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting for Lipscomb (2-2). The Bison shot 46.7 percent from the field.

Sam Sergeant finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and four assists and Alex Jones added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Transylvania (0-2). Parker Stansberry had 13 points and eight rebounds as the Pioneers made just 16 of 54 shots (29.6 percent).

Transylvania went ahead 16-10 early after Sergeant hit a 3-pointer, then Lipscomb hopped ahead to a 34-24 lead at halftime lead behind seven points from Williams. A jumper by Alex Jones brought the Pioneers within six with 16:14 remaining but Moran's 10 second-half points helped Lipscomb pull away.
