Bearden gives Buffalo 77-75 win over Bowling Green
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Lamonte Bearden's jumper with 15 seconds left lifted Buffalo into a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title with a 77-75 win over Bowling Green on Friday night.
Buffalo (21-9, 12-6), which won its sixth straight, and Kent State (21-10, 12-6) finished the regular season tied for the top spot. Bowling Green (19-9, 11-6) finished the regular season losing four of its final six games.
David Joseph twice gave Bowling Green the lead in the final minute, scoring on a layup for a 73-71 lead with 52 seconds left, and repeated the feat after Will Regan knocked down a 3-pointer to give Buffalo the lead. Regan found Bearden for the game-winner and Justin Moss added a free throw for the final margin.
Moss finished with 19 points to lead the Bulls, with Regan adding another 17.
Jehvon Clarke scored 21 to lead the Falcons.
