Miami-Ohio runs away from D-III Capital, 69-46
OXFORD, Ohio -- Will Sullivan scored 18 points as Miami-Ohio used a big first half to run away from Division III-Capital for a 69-46 win Monday night.
Coming out of a timeout with 9:01 left in the first half and the Redhawks leading by eight points, 23-15, Geovonie McKnight knocked down a 3-pointer, Eric Washington got to the basket for a layup and Jaryd Eusetace did the same to pump the lead to 15, 30-15. By halftime the margin was 19, 39-20.
Miami-Ohio (4-8) shot 51.9 percent from the field on 27-of-52 shooting, but just 5 of 17 from distance (29.4 percent).
Washington finished with 13 points while Willie Moore and McKnight had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
A.J. Dixon knocked down 17 points to lead the Crusaders, who shot 15 of 48 from the field (31.3 percent) and slightly better (32 percent) from distance (8 of 25).
