Western Kentucky defeats Bowling Green 62-52
BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky -- T.J. Price had 13 points, eight rebounds and five assists to lead Western Kentucky to a 62-52 win over Bowling Green on Wednesday night, handing the Falcons their first loss of the season.
George Fant tallied 14 points, six rebounds and four blocks and Ben Lawson added 12 points and seven rebounds for Western Kentucky.
The Hilltoppers (3-3) opened a 24-17 lead, but Bowling Green closed out the first half on a quick 7-2 run led by five from Spencer Parker to bring the deficit within two.
Parker led Bowling Green (4-1) with 14 points, hitting 4 of 8 from 3-point range, and Anthony Henderson added 11 points.
The Falcons made just 19 of 55 (34.5 percent) field goals, including 6 of 21 (28.6 percent) from behind the arc.
Western Kentucky called timeout holding a 54-52 lead with 1:28 left, and then proceeded to score the last eight points.
