Burrell leads Holy Cross past Army 73-64
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Justin Burrell scored 26 points, 19 coming in the second half, and grabbed five rebounds to lead Holy Cross to a 73-64 win over Army on Wednesday night.
Malcolm Miller and Eric Green scored 10 apiece, with Miller adding nine rebounds and Green six, for the Crusaders (10-13, 5-8 Patriot League). Holy Cross shot 6 of 9 (66.7 percent) from 3-point range, with three from Burrell.
Holy Cross led by two at the half and scored 10 of the first 15 second-half points. But Army scored the next eight to take the lead at 42-41.
Dylan Cox made a layup with three minutes to go to cut Army's deficit to two, but the Crusaders scored seven straight to hold on.
Tanner Plomb had 19 points, Cox added 17, six assists and five rebounds and Kyle Wilson pitched in 15 points for the Black Knights (14-10, 5-8).
