Tillotson's shot lifts Colgate over Bucknell 71-69
LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Austin Tillotson scored 24 points, including the game-winner with 1.3 seconds left, to lift Colgate to a 71-69 win over Bucknell on Saturday night and into a first-place tie with the Bison in the Patriot League.
Tillotson's short jump shot gave the Raiders (10-13, 7-3) their second victory over the Bison (12-11, 7-3) this season, having beaten Bucknell 68-62 on Jan. 3. The two wins are the first back-to-back victories for Colgate over Bucknell since the 1997-98 season.
Tillotson hit a 3-pointer with 31 seconds left to tie and a Bucknell turnover set up his winning shot.
Tillotson made 10 of 13 shots, including 4 of 5 from the arc.
Colgate made 31 of 52 shots for 59.6 percent, including six 3-pointers, overcoming Bucknell's 24-of-48 performance that included 10 3-pointers. Colgate made its only three free throws while Bucknell made 11 of 17.
Chris Haas led Bucknell with 18 points.
