Army get past Air Force, 84-78
WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Kyle Wilson scored 24 points, Tanner Plomb added 22 more, and Army beat Air Force 84-78 Friday night in the season opener for both teams.
Kevin Ferguson added 10 points for the Black Knights as well as a team leading six boards. Dylan Cox finished with a team high seven assists for Army, who totaled 18 as a team for the evening.
Max Yon led all Air Force scorers with 23, Hayden Graham finished with 18 off the bench, while Kamryn Williams added 10.
Both teams shot the ball well from the field, with Air Force holding a 50-49 advantage in field goal percentage; however the Black Knights hit eight more from 3-point range, finishing 13-for-25.
Army held a 10-point lead at halftime.
