Larson leads South Dakota over IUPUI 77-62
VERMILLION, S.D. -- Tyler Larson scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead South Dakota to a 77-62 win over IUPUI on Saturday.
Tre Burnette added 12 points and six steals and Brandon Bos and Trey Norris 11 points each for the Coyotes (15-14, 8-6 Summit), who extended their winning streak to four. Larson's double-double was his 10th this season.
Norris scored seven points on one possession to give the Coyotes a 63-53 lead with 10 minutes to go. He scored on a fast break, was intentionally fouled and made both free throws, then hit a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession.
Marcellus Barksdale scored 21 points to lead the Jaguars (9-19, 5-9). Mason Archie II added 18.
IUPUI shot 53.3 percent but had 17 turnovers to the Coyotes' seven.
The Coyotes shot 42.4 percent, but made 10 3-pointers and had a 33-27 rebounding edge, including a 17-4 on the offensive boards.
