South Dakota tops Oral Roberts 83-70
TULSA, Okla. -- Casey Kasperbauer scored 20 points and South Dakota topped Oral Roberts 83-70 on Saturday night.
Kasperbauer was 6 of 9 from the field with four 3-pointers and perfect on four free throws. Tyler Larson added 19 points, Brandon Bos had 14 and guard Tre Brunette contributed 10 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. The Coyotes shot 56 percent, were 6 of 11 on 3-pointers and outrebounded Oral Roberts 41-27.
South Dakota (13-14, 7-6 Summit) used a 12-point run midway through the first half -- including back-to-back 3-pointers by Kasperbauer -- to build a 41-33 lead at the break.
Oral Roberts cut the deficit to seven a couple of times in the second half, but no closer. South Dakota made 11 of 12 free throws inside of 2:17 to seal the victory.
Obi Emegano paced Oral Roberts (14-12, 7-5 Summit) with 19 points. Korey Billbury added 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
