Scott Sutton gets 300th win, Oral Roberts beats IUPUI 78-68
INDIANAPOLIS -- Korey Billbury had 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and Oral Roberts coach Scott Sutton earned his 300th career victory on Thursday, 78-68 over IUPUI.
Oral Roberts (13-10, 6-3 Summit) opened the second with 11 straight points, stretching a one-point halftime lead to 37-25 just three minutes in. IUPUI (8-15, 4-5) closed to 71-65 with 1:32 left, but the Golden Eagles held on with 7 of 8 free throws for their third straight win.
Obi Emegano added 17 points and seven rebounds while Denell Henderson and Brandon Conley added 12 points apiece. Henderson also had five rebounds and six blocks.
Conley had 10 points and all six of his boards in the first half to help Oral Roberts overcome an early six-point deficit to lead 26-25 at the break.
P.J. Boutte scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half and Elijah Ray chipped in 10 for IUPUI.
